Cambodia: Land of the Celestial Dancers
Visiting Cambodia is nothing short of magical. Its is a journey that takes you into a land rich with history, culture, and natural beauty. Overcoming its tragic and turbulent history, today, the ethos of Cambodia’s resonates through its art, cuisine, culture and warm, friendly people; making it at the same time, a deeply moving and unforgettable experience.
The incredible archaeological site of the Angkor Wat temples —a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest religious complex in the world—with their intricate dancing apsaras and other deities; that stands witness to Cambodia’s ancient past, and the vibrant streets of Phnom Penh, offer a unique contrast of both tradition and modernity. Discover the untouched southern coast where azure waters mingle with endless skies. Take a deep dive, quite literally, at Koh Kon—tucked between the two larger islands of Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem—for instance, which is only one of the many exciting dives to go on. If water sports don’t whet your appetite, then simply soak in some rays on the pristine beaches of Sihanoukville or Koh Rong. Verdant green rice paddies and lush tropical forests offer soothing vistas to explore and an opportunity to connect with the warmth and resilience of the Cambodian people.
Cambodia has two distinct seasons: Rainy Season and Dry Season. With its mostly hot tropical climate, the best time to visit Cambodia is between November and March during the cooler Dry Season.
